Egg whites, unbeaten

Sugar

5 Tbsp.

Cold water
|
1 1/2 tsp.
|
Light corn syrup
|
1/4 tsp.
|
Cream of tartar
|
1/2 c.
|
Nuts, coconut, or crushed peppermint candy (optional)

Preparation Procedures:
1. Place ingredients over boiling water and beat for 7 minutes.
2.
Remove from heat and add vanilla. Continue beating until icing is at
spreadable consistency. If desired, add nuts, coconut, or peppermint
candy.
