Preparation Procedures:
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Separate egg and beat yolk into mixture. Add almond paste, using fingers to break it up into little pieces.
3. Add almond extract. Beat until smooth.
4. Add flour. Press into ungreased 8 x 8 pan. For shiny finish brush slightly beaten egg white over top.
5. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown in 350 degree oven.
